Philosophy
Lily and I have lived in the area all our married life and when the opportunity arose to take on The Lounge it was a dream come true: The chance to run the kind of bar we've always wanted to spend time in, and for a community in which we've spent our happiest days.
I guess the first bar you run yourself is like the first film a director makes or the first book an author writes - somewhere deep down you know it's never going to get this exciting again. All your ideals and dreams combine, creating something physical that represents an inner voice.and all you can do on the first night is hope those that turn up like what they hear.
We've tried to offer the kind of food and drink we think you'll like. We've made the menu simple but sourced it from the best ingredients, we've kept the beers traditional and the wines fine.
But above all else what we're really trying to give Sunningdale is a warm and friendly bar where you can enjoy spending time and where you'll receive the best service.
